I’m an editor and journalist who loves the outdoors. I also love cycling and pushing myself in endurance events. I have ridden double centuries, run marathons and an ultramarathon, participated in overnight relays, and even took 25 hours to “everest,” riding my bike 188 miles up and down the same four-mile hill until I had climbed as much elevation as the world’s tallest mountain. I live near Highway 89 in Utah. My wife and I have been married for 25 years and have five children. Someday, I’d like to participate on a relay team for the Race Across America. When I’m not cycling, I volunteer with the Timpanogos Emergency Response Team.

I am a health teacher at Copper Hills High School in West Jordan. I love riding my bike and have spent the last 20 years riding and racing anything and everything from iron distance triathlons to countless centuries and double centuries to shorter distance road races and crits. I have goals for a solo Salt to Saint and RAAM. I have been married for 30 years and have 5 children, 1 grandson and one grandbaby on the way. When I am not on my bike or in my classroom, I love spending time with my family, digging in my garden, baking, making elaborate quilts or caring for my chickens. I am also a frequent contributing writer for Cycling Utah. Too many people in my life have been affected by cancer. It sucks and it is time to stop it. I am excited to do what I can to help.
